Announcing: OpenStack Networking Cookbook

Page content

My first publication OpenStack Networking Cookbook is now available for purchase. It is available as a printed book as well as e-book. OpenStack is a rapidly evolving cloud platform and Networking (Neutron) is one of its critical components. The current trends of SDN and NFV make OpenStack Networking even more exciting and complex. I have co-authored the book with a colleague and the overall experience of writing a book was very satisfying.

OpenStack Networkng Cookbook Overview

The OpenStack Networking Cookbook provides 90 hands on recipes to perform basic to advanced OpenStack Networking operations and administration. The book starts with basic Neutron constructs such as Network, Subnet and Port. Neutron services like Router, Firewall and Load-balancers are then covered. The book also offers great introduction to Ceilometer, ML2 mechanism driver development and Heat templates. All this in an easy to understand Cookbook format.

The book is published by Packt Publishing who are leaders in technical book publications.

As part of the book release, we have published an overview of Ceilometer and its use in OpenStack Networking.
